Paralegal specializing in Real Estate, will be supporting the legal functions related to real estate transactions and property matters. You will work closely with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to ensure the smooth execution of real estate transactions, contracts, and legal processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Legal Research:
Conduct thorough legal research on real estate laws, regulations, and precedents.
Summarize and analyse legal documents, statutes, and case law relevant to real estate matters.
Provide attorneys with comprehensive legal research to support case strategy and decision making.
2. Document Preparation and Review:
Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, deeds, leases, and other real estate-related documents.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all legal documents.
Collaborate with attorneys to prepare documents for real estate transactions and closings.
3. Transaction Support:
Assist in the preparation and coordination of real estate transactions.
Liaise with clients, real estate agents, title companies, and other relevant parties to gather necessary information.
Manage and organize documents related to real estate transactions.
4. Due Diligence:
Conduct due diligence on properties, including title searches, zoning issues, and environmental assessments.
Summarize and report findings to attorneys to identify potential legal risks or concerns.
5. Client Communication:
Communicate with clients to obtain information, provide updates, and address inquiries related to real estate matters.
Maintain professional and positive relationships with clients and external parties involved in real estate transactions.
6. Court Filings and Legal Proceedings:
Assist in the preparation of court filings and legal documents for real estate-related litigation.
Coordinate with court clerks, process servers, and other legal professionals as required.
7. Compliance and Regulatory Matters:
Stay informed about changes in real estate laws and regulations.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws governing real estate transactions.
8. Administrative Support:
Provide general administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling, file management, and other tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal certification
Minimum 5 years of experience in real estate law preferred
Excellent communication and multitasking skills
